Following his solo CD debut The
Heroic Millepede for ITM Records
in 1989, Thomas started working
on Kill Yr Darlins in 1994, releas-
ing it on Poise, which at the time
was a new label run by Dirk Raulf,
Frank Schulte and himself in 1997.
The pseudonym T.O.M. (for the two
subsequent CDs Stella and Mouth)
was established to distinguish these
projects from his Jazz/Improv work;
releases under the T.O.M. name link
Thomas' trumpet playing with popular
music loop aesthetics.
The Tanztheater Wuppertal uses Stella and Mouth in the performances titled Fuer die Kinder von gestern, heute und morgen (2002) and Ten Chi (2004), both created by choreographer
